Hardware Compatibility
Authorize.net offers compatible card reader solutions to use with the mPOS/VPOS application. These solutions can be purchased on the Partner/POS Portal.

- Android: Phones and tablets (Android OS 5.0-12.0).
Level II and Level III Processing
Level II Processing: Includes additional customer and tax information for better tracking and lower interchange rates.
Level III Processing: Provides detailed line-item data for transactions, useful for procurement cards and enhanced expense management.
- Level II Data
- Requires customer-specific fields like sales tax and unique customer codes.
- Supported for business/corporate and purchase/procurement cards.
- Check processor-specific requirements and enable processing via customer support.
- Level III Data
- Includes detailed purchase information and must incorporate Level II data.
- Often used for procurement cards and purchase orders.
- Requires processor-specific setup and must be activated to avoid errors.
- Cybersource Guidelines
- Acts as a pass-through for Level II/III data, with minimal validation to maintain merchant-customer business policies.
- Include Level III data in all capture or credit requests to avoid batching errors.
- Contact your acquirer for up-to-date requirements, as these can change.
Important Notes
- Level III requires Level II data.
- Errors in Level III batching disable the field but do not reject the request.
- Always match total amounts between authorization and capture/credit requests for accurate processing.
