Authorize.net integrates with Shopify via the Cybersource Payment Management Platform.
Integrating Your Authorize.net Account with Shopify
Note: Authorize.net plus is necessary to log in to the Cybersource Payment Management Platform.
Step 1: Prepare for Integration
- Create SOAP Keys
- Sign in to your Authorize.net plus Business Center account (Live) or (Test)
- Access Payment Configuration -> Key Management
- Select the 'Generate Key' button in the top right hand corner
- Select your key type as 'SOAP Toolkit' and Generate Key
- Copy the Secret Key value and save them securely
Step 2: Enable the Plugin
The Cybersource integration does not need to be downloaded, but it does require enabling within your Shopify Payment settings.
- Sign in to your Shopify account.
- Once on the Admin Page, select 'Settings'
- Select 'Payments'
- Click the Hyperlink for “See all other providers”
- Select 'Authorize.net plus'
Step 3: Configure the Plugin - Card Payments
Now that you have enabled the plugin within Shopify it's time to configure the installation
- Sign in to your Shopify Back Office
- Access "Settings -> Payments"
- Select 'Manage' link on Authorize.net plus tile
- Enter the required information
- Login -> your Authorize.net plus Org ID
- Transaction Key -> SOAP Key generated in step 1
- Select the card types you wish to accept (including Apple Pay)
- Select/deselect 'Enable Test Mode' depending on system being configured
- Select 'Activate/Save Authorize.net plus' button to save configuration
Step 4: Configure Plugin - 3D-Secure
Please ensure that you have signed up for Payer Authentication through Authorize.net plus and your Cardinal Keys have either been saved in your Business Centre Account or provided to you through support.
Now that you have enabled the plugin within Shopify it's time to configure the installation
- Sign in to your Shopify Back Office
- Access "Settings -> Payments"
- Select 'Manage' link on Authorize.net plus tile
- Enter the required 3D-Secure information
- Select Enable 3D Secure with Cardinal
- Input your API identifier
- Input your Org Unit ID
- Input your API Key
- Enter the Transaction URL:
TEST > https://centineltest.cardinalcommerce.com/maps/txns.asp
LIVE > https://authorize.net plus.cardinalcommerce.com/maps/txns.asp
- Select 'Save'
Step 5: Validate/Test the Installation
Now you have enabled and configured the plugin now is the time to check your integration works.
- Open your Shopify Web Store
- Add an item to the Cart and proceed to checkout
- Enter Shipping information
- Enter test card information (If you're testing Payer Authentication please use the test cards contained within this guide)
- Select Pay Now
Step 6: View in Business Center
After processing your order, it may be beneficial to log into your Business Center account and review the transaction.
